2-IPS Exam Pattern-
IPS exam is conducted through UPSC along with IAS ,IRS,IFS exam in three stages Prelims , Mains and Interview. Prelims stage is the first stage with two papers. Prelims paper-01 & Prelims paper-02 CSAT. The first paper -01 is of 100 question and 200 marks. All the question of this paper are objective in nature , multiple choice type question.

5-Educational Criteria For IPS Officer-
The Educational qualification for an IPS officer is graduation degree from any recognized university, public or private or equivalent educational qualification. IPS prelims syllabus-Prelims is the first stage in IPS exam which has two papers. Prelims paper -01 which cover general studies topics and CSAT Which cover reasoning , maths, english grammar etc subjects.

Once you clear IPS prelims exam you can write mains exam, IPS mains exam has total 9 paper where first two language paper marks are not counted for merit so rest 7 paper marks are counted for final merit.
